List of works in the Romance style. Romance is a medieval form of narrative which relates tales of chivalry and courtly love. Of Iberian origin, it was created with the division in two of the Alexandrian verse. It is characterized by having an undetermined number of octosyllable verses, with pairs not rhyming, as in the example below:
